A stone’s throw from downtown Montreal is a playground that isn’t open anymore.

The playground is painted with an array of influence and hue. The greys and browns get tired after a while. The rust looks like blood, so a splash of ROY G. BIV is softening.

The slides have paint chips, the ceilings are haemorrhaging and the fresco is past due. If you aren’t careful the railings just might bite.

The gates in the fence are rustic; handmade by others who still want to go play on the playground. It was a nice playground, and it still is.

Just a few decades and what was once a hub for production is instead just a product of consumption gone rogue. Time, effort and ethic were piled into silo’s and corridors, and now there’s dust and broken glass.

From the top of slide you can see all the other playgrounds there are to play on in the grand city of Montreal. You just have to pay for those ones.
